Who we are

MockJury is a service of Natick Media LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("we," "us," or "MockJury"). This policy describes how we handle information collected through our website at mockjury.com.

What we collect

When you submit our signup form, we collect the email address you provide. Our servers also automatically log the date and time of submission, the IP address of the request, and your browser’s user-agent string — used solely to prevent spam and abuse. Once the MockJury product launches, authenticated users will additionally provide case-related content (case facts, opening statements, questions for the panel) that we process as described in AI processing of your content below. Separately, we use analytics on this Site to understand how visitors find and use it; see Analytics below.

AI processing of your content

MockJury simulates juror responses using large language models ("LLMs") operated by Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"). When you submit case facts, an opening statement, or a question to a simulated juror panel, that content is transmitted to Anthropic’s API for the sole purpose of generating the juror responses you requested. Under our commercial agreement with Anthropic, your inputs and the resulting outputs are not used to train Anthropic’s models, and Anthropic does not retain your inputs or outputs beyond the period required to deliver and monitor the service (currently up to 30 days for abuse-monitoring purposes; see Anthropic’s Commercial Terms of Service and Usage Policies at anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms).

MockJury itself retains your case content in a database hosted by Supabase (see Where it lives) so that you can review prior sessions, export results, and re-run analyses. You can delete a session at any time from within the product, which removes the underlying content from our database; deletion from Anthropic’s short-term retention occurs on Anthropic’s schedule.

You should not submit information through MockJury that you are ethically or contractually prohibited from disclosing to a third-party AI processor. Attorneys are responsible for evaluating, under their own jurisdiction’s rules of professional conduct (including ABA Formal Opinion 512 and any applicable state opinions), whether the use of AI for a particular matter requires client consent or other safeguards.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic to this Site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes information about your visit, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent, and approximate geographic location. Google processes this information on our behalf; see Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by enabling Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser. If you are visiting from a jurisdiction that requires affirmative consent to analytics cookies (such as the EU/EEA or UK), we will present a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set.

How we use it

We use your email address to notify you about MockJury and to send a small number of product updates. We will not sell your email address, and we will not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Where it lives

Submitted emails and (once the product launches) case content are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, Inc. The website itself is hosted by Vercel, Inc. Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. Juror-simulation requests are processed by Anthropic, PBC as described above. Each provider may process limited request metadata (IP address, request headers) in the ordinary course of providing their services.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your email address or any case content at any time by writing to clerk@mockjury.com. If we send you product emails, every email will include an unsubscribe link.

California and other US state residents

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and (where applicable) port the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. MockJury does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at clerk@mockjury.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable once for an additional 45 days where permitted).

Children

MockJury is intended for use by licensed attorneys and legal professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy as MockJury evolves. We’ll change the "Last updated" date above when we do, and we’ll provide additional notice for material changes.
