Terms of service
Last updated: May 27, 2026
Acceptance
These terms govern your use of mockjury.com (the "Site") and the MockJury service (the "Service"), each operated by Natick Media LLC ("MockJury," "we," "us"). By using the Site or the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Pre-launch and beta status
Portions of MockJury are currently in private beta. Access to the Service may require an invitation or access code, and features described on the Site are forward-looking and subject to change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time during the beta period.
Not legal advice
Nothing provided through the Site or the Service is legal advice. MockJury simulates juror responses for case-preparation purposes only. Output generated by the Service — including predicted verdicts, damages estimates, liability assessments, and juror commentary — is a modeling exercise based on synthetic personas and large language models, not a prediction of how any actual jury will decide any actual case. Your use of the Site or Service does not create an attorney-client relationship with MockJury or Natick Media LLC, and does not relieve you of any professional or ethical obligation you owe to your clients.
AI services
The Service generates juror responses using large language models operated by Anthropic, PBC. By submitting case content to the Service, you authorize us to transmit that content to Anthropic for the sole purpose of generating the requested simulation outputs, as described in our privacy policy. You represent that you have the authority to transmit any content you submit, and that doing so does not violate any law, court order, confidentiality obligation, or rule of professional conduct applicable to you. You are solely responsible for evaluating, under your jurisdiction’s rules of professional conduct, whether and how to use AI tools in connection with any matter you are handling.
Because LLM-generated output is probabilistic and may contain inaccuracies, you should independently verify any factual or legal statement appearing in a simulation result before relying on it. MockJury does not warrant the accuracy of any simulation output.
Account and access
If we issue you an access code or account credentials, you are responsible for keeping them confidential and for any activity conducted through your account. You agree to notify us promptly at clerk@mockjury.com of any unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to (a) submit content that infringes any third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or replicate the Service or its underlying data; (c) use the Service to generate outputs intended to harass, defame, or unlawfully discriminate; or (d) use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or any third party’s rights.
Email signups
By submitting your email address, you authorize us to contact you about MockJury’s launch and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our privacy policy for details.
Intellectual property
The Site and the Service, including all design, text, graphics, code, synthetic-juror profiles, and underlying databases, are owned by Natick Media LLC and protected by US and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works from any portion of the Site or the Service without our written permission. You retain ownership of the case content you submit; you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content solely to operate the Service for you.
Disclaimers
The Site and the Service are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not warrant that the Site or the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any simulation output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither MockJury nor Natick Media LLC will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred US dollars (US$100) or (b) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MockJury and Natick Media LLC from any claims arising out of (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) any content you submit to the Service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Site or Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email to registered users.
